It’s official: The Cleveland Play House on Thursday closed its deal to sell the 11.29 acre site at 8500 Euclid Avenue it has occupied since 1927 to the Cleveland Clinic next door.
The price, according to public property records, was $13 million, a figure that was previously reported but not confirmed.
Also, according to a lease agreement in public property records, the Clinic will lease the facility back to the Play House for free until at least Dec. 31, 2011, while the Play House and Cleveland State University renovate PlayhouseSquare’s Allen Theatre into a new home for the Play House and CSU’s drama department… (go to article)
