Cleveland has very little to be proud of in the area of historic preservation. In the last few years an astounding number of buildings have been demolished and others have been allowed to stand disgracefully neglected. On more than one occassion we have graciously funded boorish developers to destory our architectural history. Recently we have lost the entire East bank of the Flats – part of the authentic industrial history of Cleveland. Cleveland State demolished their Student Center built in 1974 by Donald Hisaka.
