“The Cleveland Landmarks Commission, which has design review jurisdiction over the Little Italy, has given the project a thumbs-up.

But some members of the community aren’t happy. They continue to raise objections about developer Tim Perotti’s proposal to build a six-story, 24,000-square-foot apartment building on the north side of Mayfield Road at East 119th Street.

The building will contain 17 condos with two- or three-bedroom units, selling for $250,000 to $400,000.

Never mind that the project, designed by Lowenstein Durante Architects, would fill an eyesore dead zone at the base of the Mayfield Road Hill, close to elevated railroad tracks that now make the area feel like a no-man’s land…” (go to article)
