The $25 million building, which would contain 120 apartments and 14,000 square feet of retail space, will feature a facade of multilayered panels, each of which will have different window patterns and colors.
A white grid with a regular pattern of large, square windows will serve as a visual foundation. Four large vertical rectangles, surfaced with gray, perforated panels and punctuated with an irregular pattern of rectangular windows, will be superimposed atop the white grid.
The perforated panels are intended to reduce energy consumption as part of the building’s green design. They’ll “inhale” outside air into recesses where it can be warmed and drawn into the building’s mechanical system…” (go to article)
